Outfit of the Day: Mint Beanie

Hey lovelies!

How are you all doing? I know it was Halloween yesterday, did you guys dress up? I didn't dress up as anything but I did happen to go to some haunted houses at Screemers (collective of various haunted houses in one location) and it was actually a lot of fun. Some parts of it admittedly was a bit scary, like the people chasing you with chain saws, and the sets of some of the haunted houses were so cool and were so detailed. My favourite set had to be the Chuckie doll, the whole scene was just shelves and shelves full of random dolls and then a giant Chuckie pops out of no-where, but that set was crazy... there had to be at least more than 200 dolls there. And of course, what kind of Halloween would it be without chocolate? So my friends and I just grabbed some chocolate from the store, which I know... not free chocolate, but we are too old to 'trick or treat' for sweets.

On to my outfit, a causal outfit but the aim was to be warm. My whole outfit has been made around this over-sized cardigan, which frankly it looks sort of like a bath robe to me. I don't think I was going for this look, but nonetheless I paired it with shorts to play off the different lengths. I just created a look with the different shades of black and grey and since I felt it was too monochromatic I decided to add a pop of colour with this mint beanie. The creepers... well I originally would love to wear it with some ankle booties- which I don't own for the time being, but it was cold and raining a lot so wearing platform creepers actually help my shoes avoid getting wet. Cause who likes wearing soaked shoes all day? Well that is the look and I hope all of you have a safe and fun Halloween :)

Outfit of the Day: Tie Addiction

Hey lovelies,

It is finally the weekend, which means I can finally enjoy it. I did some filming today for my Back to School Lookbook, which I am so so stoked about. I've been trying to create different looks that will fit the various aesthetics for my viewers for some back to school inspiration. Throughout the process of filming and teaching myself video editing, I did not realize how long the process took and how much work is needed to create HQ videos and I now have so much appreciation for all the YouTubers who post such amazing videos.

Today not only did I filmed a look for the lookbook, but I also met up with some of my girls for a Girls Night Out. We decided to hit up the new restaurant, Poutineville, that recently opened in Toronto. We decided to give it a try as my FaceBook feed was flooded with pictures of mouth-watering poutine everywhere. I decided it was time we all go try out this restaurant that was all the rage, and let me tell you my expectations had been exceeded by their great hospitality, great food and a nice atmosphere. I had a great time at Poutineville as the customer service I received from the waiters and the owner was very welcoming and genuine. I decided to order a custom poutine which included philly steak, guacomole, hot peppers, onions, feta cheese, mozzarella, and cheddar, and it was so good. I plan to go again for sure to try experiment with different combinations.

Anyways moving on about my outfit, you can all probably tell that I have a new little addiction; that is tying cardigans, shirts, etc around the waist. I actually didn't plan to have the sweater tied around my waist, it was originally an extra layer I wore under my anorak as the weather in Toronto is really topsy-turvy. I just found having this sweater tied around my waist made my life a lot easier and fuss-free, and really was a life saver when the weather did get cool every now and then. I kept everything minimal since I wanted to keep the outfit casual, so I wore a chiffon black v-neck strap dress with an anorak on top and this necklace that looks like an antique pocketwatch. Hope you all like the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Creepin' the City

Hey lovelies,

It's the weekend, so I've been enjoying the outdoors as much as I can. I usually don't pick up grungy items, but I was totally drawn by these adorable plaid shorts from Forever 21. I decided to style this in a more subtle grunge way. I didn't want to accessorize too much so I kept the look simple to make sure the plaid print from the shorts stood out. I wore a sheer striped crop top along with some creepers to make the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Rain Rain Go Away...

Hey lovelies. This is a look from Saturday and as you can tell it was a rainy day. Usually on rainy days I either wear more darker looks or something very bright to lighten the mood. I went for a more darker ensemble to match my mood for the day, my trip to Toronto Island was cancelled; but nonetheless it's rescheduled for next weekend. I just went out for a short shopping trip and attended Toronto's Green Living Event in downtown. I kept my outfit quite casual since I like having my outfits simple and fuss free on rainy days. I wore this oversized grey dress with some creepers and a light-weight coat over for today's look. Here's the outfit :)
