Outfit of the Day: Cozy Bear

Hey guys!

So I picked up these cute bear tights from Chinatown and I had no idea how to style this. All I know was I didn't want anything else in my outfit to overpower the cute bears, so I decided to go basic and wear my oversized white sweater and some black shorts for some coverage. I paired some necklaces, just cause I love accessorizing and it makes it more of a 'Maha' outfit :) Well that's the outfit, can't really write much since I got to sleep soon for my 8 am class tomorrow... well today since it's past midnight. And for those of you doing your final exams, wish you all the best!

Outfit of the Day: Maxed Out

Hey guys!

How's everyone doing? The weather is getting a bit chillier and totally apologize about talking about the weather all the time. I think it's one of the most common topics spoken by Torontonians, as our weather is changing drastically day to day. Anyways, had this grey maxi skirt lying around and decided to incorporate it in today's look. I wanted to push myself in terms of creativity, and style it in a way that is unexpected. Not quite sure if this outfit has too much elements, since I got the beanie, polka dots, denim shirt tied around the waist, a bold necklace all in one look, but I like the outcome of the look. This outfit was actually perfect today as the weather fluctuated and I can just layer more things on as it got cooler, not to mention I was able to wear tights under the skirt for extra warmth. Anyways here's the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Dark Varsity

Hey guys!

Well it's almost the end of the semester! So here I am stressing out again, I recently got my mid-term exams and already I am preparing for the final exams. Typical life of a student, anyways on a better note I am almost done filming for another look book. Which is super outdated at this point to post it, it was a Fall Look Book Pt. 2, but it's completely cold outside to even be considered Fall. Nonetheless, I think I will be posting it anyways, since I've already have 5 looks filmed and edited, I hope it can serve as inspiration to those living in warmer climates. I had fun filming and I have even more ideas in store to film, like the Thrifted Look Book, Outfits of the Week, and some DIY projects I had in mind. I will totally update you guys when I do post a video.

On to my outfit, it's a monochromatic look, and I paired it with my favourite skirt. This window-pane printed skirt makes any look hip. In addition, I wanted to incorporate a boyish charm to it, and I simply achieve that by pairing it with a varsity jacket. Not just any varsity jacket, but a sheer one! The moment I saw it in Forever21, I picked it up right away, I knew this piece was one of those show stopper pieces. Although the irony of this boyish jacket is of course it has 'Barbie' written in bold letters in the back and when you button the front it reads 'DOLL'. Forever21 has done a collaboration with Barbie, not quite sure how this jacket relates to Barbie, as I would expect all the pieces to be very pink and doll like. Well anyways, I've spoken enough about a jacket. Here's the outfit :)

Outfit of the Day: The NewYorker

Hey lovelies,

How is everyone doing? I am psyched the weekends near since it was a long and stressful week. My final exams are near, within less than a month. The pressure is on, several conflicts are arising from group projects and I feel like I am off track on everything. You can probably compare the blog posts I have written from the summer to now and most of you can tell that I am becoming more negative. It is difficult to have a positive outlook while being a full-time student and having to juggle so many other commitments. Anyways I am on the search for finding that balance, that is my ultimate goal.

Well I should discuss about my outfit now, I kept it laid back and the weather in Toronto lately has been cloudy and rainy for the whole week. I decided to dress all black to reflect my mood, as the weather is not my cup of tea. When wearing a full black outfit, it is important to play up the different textures and same goes for any monochromatic looks. So I wore my leather jacket, my fuzzy black sweater layered over my chiffon dress and leather tights and some black booties. Here is the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Mint Beanie

Hey lovelies!

How are you all doing? I know it was Halloween yesterday, did you guys dress up? I didn't dress up as anything but I did happen to go to some haunted houses at Screemers (collective of various haunted houses in one location) and it was actually a lot of fun. Some parts of it admittedly was a bit scary, like the people chasing you with chain saws, and the sets of some of the haunted houses were so cool and were so detailed. My favourite set had to be the Chuckie doll, the whole scene was just shelves and shelves full of random dolls and then a giant Chuckie pops out of no-where, but that set was crazy... there had to be at least more than 200 dolls there. And of course, what kind of Halloween would it be without chocolate? So my friends and I just grabbed some chocolate from the store, which I know... not free chocolate, but we are too old to 'trick or treat' for sweets.

On to my outfit, a causal outfit but the aim was to be warm. My whole outfit has been made around this over-sized cardigan, which frankly it looks sort of like a bath robe to me. I don't think I was going for this look, but nonetheless I paired it with shorts to play off the different lengths. I just created a look with the different shades of black and grey and since I felt it was too monochromatic I decided to add a pop of colour with this mint beanie. The creepers... well I originally would love to wear it with some ankle booties- which I don't own for the time being, but it was cold and raining a lot so wearing platform creepers actually help my shoes avoid getting wet. Cause who likes wearing soaked shoes all day? Well that is the look and I hope all of you have a safe and fun Halloween :)

Outfit of the Day: Dark Fall

Hey lovelies!

I am beyond stuffed! And if you are not from Canada, then you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Well in Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving Day! An amazing day where you have no school, work, nothing but just plain relaxing and eating great food. This outfit was photographed from yesterday... so I didn't wear this for Thanksgiving, rather I am wearing my pajamas. But I did celebrate it yesterday at my boyfriend's place and yeah I know what you're thinking this outfit is too dressed up for an event like this. Underneath the jacket it's actually an over-sized striped tee so it doesn't look as busy as this outfit photographed here. Of course eating a lot I need to prepare for this by wearing an over-sized tee for Thanksgiving and wearing a high-waisted skirt to keep everything in place.

Well more or less, I was filming today for my second part of my Fall Lookbook, so I figured if I'm already putting makeup on for the Thanksgiving Dinner, I might as well film and look stylish at the dinner. A two in one, actually I do this a lot; I put on the outfit I'm going to use in my video while attending school, which CAN BE AWKWARD because I may look too dressed up for school or ... TOO bold, especially when I'm sitting beside classmates literally in their sweats and hoodies. But I film right after and  then head back to studying (the life of a university student :( ) On a positive note, I love doing this and it's actually a lot of fun and one of those little things during my busy schedule I look forward to doing.

Well I wish all of you who are celebrating today, I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving and for those of you who are not, well I hope you have a great week! :)

Outfit of the Day: Silver x Mint

Hey lovelies,

EARTH TO MAHA! EARTH TO MAHA. In case you guys were wondering... I am not dead... still here! But I did go M.I.A on all of you guys. School is what happened, I am probably losing hair at this point and I have no social life. It's been a tough month getting back to school, if you're all in university or college like me then you guys can totally relate. And trust me, I would love to blog more often but due to SEVERAL constraints it explains the lack of blogging. But I'm still trying to get a hold of school, be involved in extracurricular, volunteer, and commit to muay thai. OMG suicide, when I decided to join 3 case competitions on top of that, what did I get myself into? Time management (FOR REALZ) is a huge struggle and hopefully I get a hang of it (SOON) since midterms are coming up very soon for me.

NONETHELESS here is my outfit I wore to school and I felt very uninspired today, yesterday, everyday, the day my summer ended. Haha, I apologize for my very depressing post today. Anyways I've stuck to the same colour palette for this whole week, actually all I've been wearing is various shades of grey (total reflection of how I feel during school) and I decided to throw in a colour. I'm totally obsessed with the colour mint, so it was a given I pair all my grey's with mint in today's look. Pardon for the lack of makeup, as I went to my muay thai class today; I dislike wearing makeup when I am drenched in sweat. In other news, I guess it's time for me to get back to studying. But for those of you who are doing your midterms... wish you all the best & GOOD LUCK :) and before I end this post just wanted to let you know I posted a new video 'Fall Lookbook' on my YouTube channel - MahaOnTheGo, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HONtC-n76M8

Outfit of the Day: Grungin' Around

Hey lovelies,

I finally have a post up! This is an outfit I sported yesterday, a comfortable yet an effortless outfit. I went to the Maple Leafs Fest at the Air Canada Centre for the day, an event for hockey fans where autograph signings took place from the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Players and the Marlies team. I've went for some Thai food right after and some shopping and just took a stroll around the city. Here is the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Tie Addiction

Hey lovelies,

It is finally the weekend, which means I can finally enjoy it. I did some filming today for my Back to School Lookbook, which I am so so stoked about. I've been trying to create different looks that will fit the various aesthetics for my viewers for some back to school inspiration. Throughout the process of filming and teaching myself video editing, I did not realize how long the process took and how much work is needed to create HQ videos and I now have so much appreciation for all the YouTubers who post such amazing videos.

Today not only did I filmed a look for the lookbook, but I also met up with some of my girls for a Girls Night Out. We decided to hit up the new restaurant, Poutineville, that recently opened in Toronto. We decided to give it a try as my FaceBook feed was flooded with pictures of mouth-watering poutine everywhere. I decided it was time we all go try out this restaurant that was all the rage, and let me tell you my expectations had been exceeded by their great hospitality, great food and a nice atmosphere. I had a great time at Poutineville as the customer service I received from the waiters and the owner was very welcoming and genuine. I decided to order a custom poutine which included philly steak, guacomole, hot peppers, onions, feta cheese, mozzarella, and cheddar, and it was so good. I plan to go again for sure to try experiment with different combinations.

Anyways moving on about my outfit, you can all probably tell that I have a new little addiction; that is tying cardigans, shirts, etc around the waist. I actually didn't plan to have the sweater tied around my waist, it was originally an extra layer I wore under my anorak as the weather in Toronto is really topsy-turvy. I just found having this sweater tied around my waist made my life a lot easier and fuss-free, and really was a life saver when the weather did get cool every now and then. I kept everything minimal since I wanted to keep the outfit casual, so I wore a chiffon black v-neck strap dress with an anorak on top and this necklace that looks like an antique pocketwatch. Hope you all like the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Casual Tie

Hey lovelies,

I went M.I.A seriously, well just in the blogging world or social media in general. It's been challenging to find a time with my photographer (or my boyfriend) as we are both working full-time. I've had several projects in mind, like start a YouTube channel, do Vlog diaries, lookbooks, and DIY projects, which I'll make sure to keep all of you updated with. I've already started some of the projects and I am so excited to branch out to various social medias to express my love for fashion and travelling.

On to other news, this is a look I wore as of last Sunday where I went shopping with one of my friends around Eaton Centre and later went out for lunch for Thai food. I wanted a comfortable, versatile look yet something I can thrive in different temperatures; warm or cool. I was out for the whole day, so I wanted to make sure I was prepared. So I paired a black crop top with a white skirt, since clearly I was lost on what to wear, so my quick fix was to wear a skirt. I tied a pink cardigan around my waist and when it does gets chilly I can just wear this over. Also a necklace is a must in my outfit as it makes any outfit a little more interesting in my opinion, especially this silver geometric necklace I picked up a couple of months ago from Forever 21. Well here is the outfit :)
