Outfit of the Day: Grunge to the Max

Hey guys!

Just got my midterm marks and ... it was definitely a wake up call. I was pretty much hyperventilating inside, and no I am not those people who complain when they get B's. This is far worse and now I am in the search for a new study method. Okay I am going to stop right there... before this post becomes super negative.

On a positive note I have been filming more looks for my Fall Lookbook 2.0, except I don't think it's exactly fall anymore, feels a bit like winter in Toronto at the moment and also it snowed not so long ago. Anyways, this is one of the looks I filmed for the lookbook, I had this tulle maxi skirt lying around and something about tulle is so fairy like and light and so I wanted to immediately toughen this skirt. Of course me being super obsessed with the flannel tied around the waist thing, so I went for it. Here we go, tied this classic red and black flannel and decided to balance it out with a neutral colour on the top  since the bottom is quite bold on its own. The bowler hat, really had no purpose it was just lying around and I decided to just plop this bad boy on my head. Well here is the look :) I will totally let you know when I'm done with my Fall Lookbook 2.0, which I'm real excited to share with you since the school videos are a more contained version of my style. I can be bold and experiment with unusual pieces which you can't really do at school especially since it would be "too much" for school, so the school look book is much reserved. Anyways hope you guys enjoy the look, details are posted about the outfit after the photos.

Summer 2014 Trend: Iridescence Pairing

Hey lovelies,

This is my first pairing of the Iridescence trend which I absolutely adore. I didn't want to do a pairing for a holographic skirt or anything bold in those terms. I have a feeling majority of people will shy away from such bold items but having a holographic bag, shoes or accessories is the way to go in order to incorporate such a flashy piece in your everyday wear. Surprisingly this look actually nailed most of the trends I had listed for the Summer Trend Report (bonus points for me), but don't worry I'll be doing a pairing for each trend :)

I kept the look pretty simple by pairing mostly white clothing pieces in order for that holographic bag to stand out and wearing that window pane blazer as a cape would add a really cool touch. As for the shoes, I kept it minimal with a nude heel just the holographic bag will be the focal point. The necklace of course is optional but I like how some of the colours illuminating on the bag is also found on the necklace which ties the whole outfit together.

Well I hope you guys like my take on the Iridescence trend, let me know in the comments if you want me to style this trend in a more casual way.

Outfit of the Day: City Aztec

Hey lovelies,

This is a look that is casual, comfy and on the go. I had to do several errands all around the city and as well attend my Muay Thai class, so I kept the outfit low-key and decided to go bare with my makeup. I layered my mesh sweat shirt over my purple romper to make it appear I have printed shorts, just another trick I use to make my romper more versatile. Then I decided to pair my all-time favourite necklace which makes any casual outfit pop. Well here's the look :)
