Outfit of the Day: Dark Fall

Hey lovelies!

I am beyond stuffed! And if you are not from Canada, then you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Well in Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving Day! An amazing day where you have no school, work, nothing but just plain relaxing and eating great food. This outfit was photographed from yesterday... so I didn't wear this for Thanksgiving, rather I am wearing my pajamas. But I did celebrate it yesterday at my boyfriend's place and yeah I know what you're thinking this outfit is too dressed up for an event like this. Underneath the jacket it's actually an over-sized striped tee so it doesn't look as busy as this outfit photographed here. Of course eating a lot I need to prepare for this by wearing an over-sized tee for Thanksgiving and wearing a high-waisted skirt to keep everything in place.

Well more or less, I was filming today for my second part of my Fall Lookbook, so I figured if I'm already putting makeup on for the Thanksgiving Dinner, I might as well film and look stylish at the dinner. A two in one, actually I do this a lot; I put on the outfit I'm going to use in my video while attending school, which CAN BE AWKWARD because I may look too dressed up for school or ... TOO bold, especially when I'm sitting beside classmates literally in their sweats and hoodies. But I film right after and  then head back to studying (the life of a university student :( ) On a positive note, I love doing this and it's actually a lot of fun and one of those little things during my busy schedule I look forward to doing.

Well I wish all of you who are celebrating today, I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving and for those of you who are not, well I hope you have a great week! :)

Outfit of the Day: Silver x Mint

Hey lovelies,

EARTH TO MAHA! EARTH TO MAHA. In case you guys were wondering... I am not dead... still here! But I did go M.I.A on all of you guys. School is what happened, I am probably losing hair at this point and I have no social life. It's been a tough month getting back to school, if you're all in university or college like me then you guys can totally relate. And trust me, I would love to blog more often but due to SEVERAL constraints it explains the lack of blogging. But I'm still trying to get a hold of school, be involved in extracurricular, volunteer, and commit to muay thai. OMG suicide, when I decided to join 3 case competitions on top of that, what did I get myself into? Time management (FOR REALZ) is a huge struggle and hopefully I get a hang of it (SOON) since midterms are coming up very soon for me.

NONETHELESS here is my outfit I wore to school and I felt very uninspired today, yesterday, everyday, the day my summer ended. Haha, I apologize for my very depressing post today. Anyways I've stuck to the same colour palette for this whole week, actually all I've been wearing is various shades of grey (total reflection of how I feel during school) and I decided to throw in a colour. I'm totally obsessed with the colour mint, so it was a given I pair all my grey's with mint in today's look. Pardon for the lack of makeup, as I went to my muay thai class today; I dislike wearing makeup when I am drenched in sweat. In other news, I guess it's time for me to get back to studying. But for those of you who are doing your midterms... wish you all the best & GOOD LUCK :) and before I end this post just wanted to let you know I posted a new video 'Fall Lookbook' on my YouTube channel - MahaOnTheGo, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HONtC-n76M8

Outfit of the Day: Day to Night Floral

Hey lovelies,

How's everyone's week going? This week for sure was hectic for me as I am getting near exams so today was a nice break to get away from all that. My outfit was focused around the versatility of it transforming from day to night, as I spend most of time outside going from work/school to meeting my friends for dinner. I didn't do a huge transformation but something easy as I already carry enough in my oversized backpack, so it was a matter of my top that changed the complete look. For the day time I had a baggy oversized sweater and for night I changed into an off-the-shoulder velvet top. Here's the looks for both day and night :)

Outfit of the Day: All White Everything

Hey Guys,

This is the look I wore for Fathers Day, pretty much we went to Korean Grill House for dinner to celebrate. I hope all of you guys have an amazing Fathers Day :)

I had this lace kimono in my closet for quite some time and I didn't know what to pair it with and it's just this stunning piece with lace embroidery. I decided to wear it today and because of the texture on the kimono I thought I could create an all white monochromatic look by playing with the different textures of white clothing pieces. I wore a simple white tank in order for the lace kimono to stand out and I paired it with a white skirt that had some texture to it. I really like the combination of gold and white together but I did not want to make this a flashy outfit or anything, I wanted this look to be clean so I paired it with my gold mirror belt to break off the skirt and top. Well here's the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Out and About

Hey Guys,

This is an outfit I wore when I was walking all around downtown. There's always something happening in Toronto so I took advantage and went to a couple of the festivals that were happening for the weekend. I went to the Little Italy Festival and the Roncesvalles Festival and since it was a sunny afternoon I decided to wear my floppy burgundy hat. This is a common outfit I wear when I'm walking around downtown, something casual, effortless yet there are some details to make it more interesting, like the distressed boyfriend jeans and the layered long necklaces. Well here's the look :)

Outfit of the Day: Floral Kimono

Hey guys!

This is another look I wore as of last Thursday for the Dewson Festival. It was a super sunny day, so I decided to wear a hat to protect my face from the sun. (yeah right) I just found the hat to be cute and I try to wear it as much as I can for the summer :) I find the floral kimono and the hat to be a pretty cool combination so why not wear both of them today. This floral kimono is a steal for the price I got it for, I'm so proud of myself; I got it for $5 at an outlet. Being a student, I have a very tight budget so finding pieces that are versatile, timeless are important in my wardrobe and I don't mind spending a little more for them. Whereas something like a floral kimono I feel is in trend for one season and out the next season, these kind of pieces I like to buy for a much lower price. Anyways, that's how I shop in order to stay on budget. Since I was going to be walking around lot I decided to pair my converse which makes it totally appropriate for the festival. Anyways hope you guys like the look :)
